STAR TREK 11.

A fine production, a fine film! The characters portrayed as in the TOS Series, nothing out of place!
It was a delight to see it; and I mean I am one of many who saw the original TOS series when it was aired on the TV, back in the sixties.
With this present crew they could begin a Series portraying new adventures in the Enterprise any day now!
Congratulations to Paramount. They deserve it.

Great, magnific! A wonderful picture; the magic is over the entire screen; the difficult Spock, the bold Kirk, the funny Chekov, the great enginner, everything fits. And I am 65 years- I had seen the entire Star Trek Universe- even the original series when was aired ! This is wonderful. They could make a Series out of it any day. Congratulations to Paramount.

People ,You have to,Let me restate:This is a really great way to take this show.I give great credit to J.J.Abrams.He is a great mind in my opinion!!!I am A HUGE!!!!!! Star trek fan in every way!!G.R. ,I think ,OK I THINK It IS A GREAT EXAMPLE OF WHAT HE WOULD HAVE WANTED TODAY!!! OK!! I am 41 And as big of A fan as I was then!!! Characters, action, script and hard ware SPECTACULAR! I'm 54 years old and get enough ST from any star date. This one is another collector's item but before it goes DVD I'll be back to the big screen for another BOLD one or two!

Its a Movie, the new time line allows writers to write there own plots, if it followed on we would be aware of the plot. If you want the same watch your old DVD's.

I've seen the film. It was a great 'movie.' It wasn't star trek. Their prequel destroyed significant federation planet. Most star trek stories would not occur as we saw them. Fans have invested in a star trek universe which JJ has now wiped out of history. You had to wait until all the credits had run to see 'In memory of Gene and Majal.' The film really kicked him in the nutts. JJ could have pulled this off without so significantly fraking up the time line.

This is a great film but they changed History. How are they going to fix the Time Line or have we lost the Star Trek we knew up till now?

this was by far the best star trek movie ever and i cant wait for more!! by comparison the STAR WARS prequels don't even come close to what JJ & team have done for star trek... absolutely amazing.

I did not want to comment until watching the film, it was released recently here in th UK. The plot is going to take some getting used too, very interesting time line paradox. I am looking forward to seeing another film already. I have been a fan since the 70's and I like the new Enterprize, both Spock's are good.

I suggest that of all the many gifts that have been given to us from Star Trek, one of the most powerful yet unappreciated, is the humble Starfield Screensaver included as standard equipment on every version of Windows since 3.1, we can look at our monitors at any time and be instantly 'transported' (pun intended) to the bridge of a Star Ship. I do that every single day. Star Trek has, and always shall be, our friend. :)

I loved the movie. Yeah I a fan of the original series, I watched when I was just a wee las. I think they did a fantastic job, but disappointed that spocks mom died (maybe she'll come back next movie) And did Topak live???? Vulcan of all Vulcans?? They pick great actors and I hope the next movie tops this one and brings back some originality, yet I do love to entertain the refreshing side of it all. Brilliant I will watch it many times over.

I went and saw it yesterday. I am 47 My ftriends and I have been playing Star Trek : The oruiginal Series Trivia for some 30 years now! The answer to the Question: What is the Best Monent In the Entire STAR TREK FRANCHISE? is.... THIS !!! PERIOD !!! WOW !!!!! AWESOME !!!!!

I'm in my mid 40's, and a huge Trekkie, so was biting at the bit to see the new movie. I was pleasantly surprised, as it kind of got me into seeing into the past, so to speak, and see how Kirk, Spock, 'Bones', Uhura, etc, came to be. There will always be critics, but I thought the movie was well made, and tension-filled, gripping and a real 'blast from the past'. Well done to the producers.

Wow. When does "reboot" mean "replace"? The Star Trek beginnings haven't been rebooted. They have been replaced with a new operating system. The challenge was to use what you had and make it exciting and interesting, not replace the whole thing. Rewriting history is not like the Kobyashi Maru. Can't wait to see green skinned Klingons. Sorry JJ, this isn't breathing new life, it's starting over.

I've watched every trek since the sixties, yup I'm an old geezer, so what. I can't wait till this shows I'm going the first day. The face lift looks cool, yup I said cool, it will be nice and fresh. Old timers give it up and get a life. What once was old is now new. "Assimilate this" Best Trek line ever.

Oh my god! What a bunch of whiny losers! It's a reboot for g-d's sake! Get a grip. If you wanted everything to look like the original series and "timeline" then they could just put old episodes on the screen. The ship is beautiful. It honors the basic design and imagery of the classic ship, while making it flashy and impressive enough to attract a new audience, which is really what a reboot is all about. As for the doofus who complained about "somehow they are all younger...", it's a PREQUEL
